I grew up with Sesame Street. When I was too old to watch Sesame Street, my sister was the right age and I found myself watching a whole new generation of Sesame Street. There was one song on Sesame Street that has stuck with me through the years. Totally out of the blue, I find myself humming the tune, but I couldn’t remember all of the lyrics.
Thanks to the wonders of the internet, I typed in what I remembered… “we all sing with the same voice” and there were the lyrics. It was just like I remembered. Time hadn’t changed the fact that I liked the song and the message.

We All Sing
When I was little, I’m not sure that I understood the full message of the song, but I got the gist of it. It doesn’t matter what you look like or the language that you speak. Everyone is different, but it in the end we are all just people.

Lyrics
I live in southern France
I'm from a Texas ranch
I come from Mecca and Peru
I live across the street
In the mountains, on a beach
I come from everywhere
And my name is you
