For all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving. For those of you who don't, have a wonderful day doing whatever makes you happy.
We arrived at my parents' house last night, but I couldn't find enough energy to blog until this morning. I enjoy Thankgiving because we always celebrate with family and we always celebrate my sister's birthday. My history major makes it impossible for me to accept the Pilgrim and Indian scenerio. In fact, when I think about it, I get a little upset so I try not to go there. Instead, I believe that everyone should have a day to reflect on what we are thankful for.
My son has a little chant that he says at school. "We are thankful for our food, our friends and our school. Thank you."
* I am thankful for my family. I've written before that I am not grateful for being adopted, but I am thankful for my adopted family. I am thankful that we bonded and thankful that we will be together today.
* I am thankful that we are all feeling healthy today.

* We thought that my parents' friend would not make it to Thanksgiving because of his cancer. We are thankful that he is here and that it looks like he is better.
* I am thankful for our friends, who don't care if we are purple, blue or polk-a-dotted.
