Lately, my life has been full off non-adoption events. A couple of resigned from my work, potty-training is not going so well, my son has decided that he doesn't like going to sleep and my cats think my living room carpet is a litter box. It's a little frustrating.
Work is busy. We're short staffed so I'm helping out where I can, but that generally means that some of my work doesn't get done. Unfortunately, we've been short in important areas (data entry and payroll). Our employees get pretty upset if they don't get paid.
My son has decided two things - one, he doesn't like the toilet anymore and, two, he hates his bed. Nearly a week of wild screaming at bedtime is enough to turn my nerves into jelly. Last night he went to sleep with barely a whimper, but it took all of the hall lights, a light in his room, his nightlight, two purple security blankets, his regular blanket, his bear, his Elmo, a picture of his friend A and a picture of his cousin A. I'm surprised he fit on the mattress. As for potty-training. We were on a roll, but suddenly on Saturday he told me no. He said, "I go potty in my underwear. I want my pull-up." Ugh.

As for the cats - I'm considering options. I really don't want to lock them in the basement, but I'm going to have to if they don't stop using my livingroom as a litter box. One of them had a bladder infection, but we fixed that. Now it's a learned behavior and I have to figure out how to teach a new lesson.
Okay, I vented. My next post will be about adoption. I promise.
