On one of my message boards, I saw a post about a doll named Young-Hee. Young-Hee speaks Korean and English. I like it.

Off topic, I am cold. The weather right now in Michigan is just cold. Bitter is the only other word I can think of for it. You’d think I’d be used to it by now. Truthfully, it’s really not any colder than normal, but the first part of our winter was so mild that this really took me by surprise.

My family is coming to visit this week-end. I had visions of bundling my son up in his snow pants and mittens so that he could play in the snow. Unfortunately, my visions did not include single digit high temperatures and frost bite. He’s been asking over and over to go out in the snow, but we don’t get home until after it’s dark. The temperatures have been too low for his daycare to let them play outside for any length of time.

So, instead, we will be inside where it’s warm and I’ll probably turn on the gas fireplace. My mother wants to bake Valentine’s Day cookies with my son and we may take a trip to IKEA. My parents haven’t been there yet. My sister and her boyfriend are due to arrive in the evening for dinner (which has my son is orbit) so we’ll settle in and stay warm.

It’s February!!!!!! I can’t believe the way time flies. Nor can I believe that after a fairly calm January, we have something planned again every single week-end this month. So much for rest and relaxation in the new year.

I bought Young-Hee for the baby girl we are trying to adopt. Much to my husband's dismay, our son is really enjoying playing with her! :) I am not sure he remembers spoken Korean - but when she says "sae rang hae/I love you" - he grins!!
