All is quiet in our house. My son had a burst of post-candy energy, but he went down without a fight. He was exhausted from the day’s activities. He had a party at school and then trick-or-treating after dinner. He had a blast. They were gone for nearly an hour. Now, he’s asleep and I’m going to be right behind him. I am very very tired. I’m having trouble believing that this is really the last day of October. There are only two months left in the year! Where did 2006 go? If this is October 31st, then tomorrow is November and November is National Adoption Month. It seems that there are national months for everything these days and adoption is not the exception.

If you go to the Events section, you can see if your county is having an adoption day celebration. In many counties, they perform as many adoption ceremonies as physically possible on this day to try to unclog the system. Anyhow check it or pass it on.
